Quick buying advice

  • Choose a 25W charger when your exact phone supports that charging mode and you need quicker top-ups; choose by total package cost for an overnight desk or bedside charger.
  • A magnetic ring or “MagSafe compatible” label alone does not prove Qi2 certification or 25W reception. Check the phone, charger and mains adapter separately.
  • UGREEN’s foldable 25W charger is advertised at £24.99 with DL55313, from a £43.99 base price; its three-device Pro stand is £84.99 with DL75724, from £119.99. Both are conditional UK offers. Check the foldable offer.

What 15W and 25W actually mean

The Wireless Power Consortium’s July 2025 announcement distinguishes the original 15W Qi2 level from Qi2 25W. The arithmetic increase is (25 − 15) ÷ 15 = 66.7% in maximum rated power. That is not a 66.7% reduction in a full battery charge time. Charging power changes with battery level, temperature and the receiving device.

Separate Apple MagSafe from third-party Qi2

Apple’s MagSafe guide gives model and adapter requirements for Apple’s own charger. Those instructions do not certify a UGREEN accessory. For a third-party product, use its model compatibility list together with your phone specification; the iPhone 17 specification is one example of a receiving-device source. Older phones and different firmware should not be assigned the same peak merely because they attach magnetically.

Phone and earbuds, no watchCompare the compact foldable pad first.Mains adapter if excluded, delivery and a suitable case.
Phone, Apple Watch and earbuds on one deskCheck the Pro stand’s watch compatibility and package.Cost of the whole stand rather than phone-pad wattage alone.
Mostly overnight chargingKeep a working charger unless it causes a practical problem.Replacing the adapter may remove the apparent saving.
Unclear certification or device supportAsk for the exact model/certification record before purchase.Return postage if the accessory is unsuitable.

Before replacing your charger, write down the problem: a phone that runs low before a meeting, awkward stand geometry, or too many separate cables. Compare the accessory against that problem. A cooling feature may be attractive, but a manufacturer temperature demonstration does not establish the same temperature on your desk. Keep the case, adapter and room conditions consistent if you compare two chargers during a return window.

Frequently asked questions

Will every iPhone get 25W from a 25W Qi2 charger?

No. The phone’s supported mode and the exact accessory determine the ceiling; firmware, temperature and power supply affect actual charging. Check model-specific documentation.

Can I use an existing 20W plug?

Only if it meets the accessory’s stated input requirement. Do not assume a 20W source can deliver a 25W wireless output; input power also covers conversion losses.

Does a two-in-one charger charge Apple Watch?

Not automatically. Some two-in-one products mean phone plus earbuds. Read the supported-device and package lists before choosing.

Are the prices available without a code?

The quoted UGREEN promotional prices require their specified codes. Compare the basket before payment; the base prices are recorded separately on the linked offer pages.
